“Thank You, Lord, for searching me out, calling me by name, and being my Savior.”
“You are a great and awesome God. There is no one who even compares to You...”
“God, I acknowledge You are mighty! You can do such wonders. They are unfathomable!” (This is based on Is. 33:13.)

We Thank Thee
For flowers that bloom about our feet,
Father, we thank Thee.
For tender grass so fresh, so sweet,
Father, we thank Thee.
For the song of the bird and hum of the bee,
For all things fair we hear or see,
Father in heaven, we thank Thee.
For blue of stream and blue of sky,
Father, we thank Thee.
For pleasant shade of branches high,
Father, we thank Thee.
For fragrant air and cooling breeze,
For beauty of the blooming trees,
Father in heaven, we thank Thee.
For this new morning with its light,
Father, we thank Thee.
For rest and shelter of the night,
Father, we thank Thee.
For health and food, for love and friends,
For everything Thy goodness sends,
Father in heaven, we thank Thee.

Did I forget to thank Thee, Lord,
For things that may seem small:
A flower by the wayside path,
A wild bird’s lonely call,
For all the daily happenings
That we call commonplace,
For sunrise and for sunset glow,
My neighbor’s smiling face?
Since life is made of little things,
Oh, let me not forget
To count my smallest blessings all
Before the sun is set.
I thank Thee, Lord, for every one
Who adds a note of cheer,
And for the blessings multiplied
To me from year to year.

A grateful mind is both a great and happy mind.
Thank God for dirty dishes,
They have a tale to tell;
While others may go hungry
We’ve eaten very well.
With home, health, and happiness
I shouldn’t want to fuss,
By the stack of the evidence,
God’s been very good to us.

Thanksgiving
Lord, for the erring thought
Not into evil wrought;
Lord, for the wicked will,
Betrayed and baffled still’
For the heart from itself kept,
Our thanksgiving accept!
For ignorant hopes that were
Broken at our blind prayer;
For pain, death, sorrow sent,
Unto our chastisement;
For all loss of seeming good,
Quicken our gratitude.
